Postsecondary Readiness programming offers pathways to careers, college, military service, and continued education or training. Keri Stuebinger is a dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience in Douglas County School District, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Postsecondary Readiness. She is passionate about expanding student access to Career and Technical Education, Concurrent Enrollment, Work-Based Learning, and ASCENT programs. Keri’s work focuses on creating meaningful academic pathways that align with both high school and postsecondary goals. A proud mother of two DCSD students—one graduate and one soon to graduate—Keri has seen firsthand how CE and CTE opportunities contribute to student success. Her student-centered, relationship-driven approach reflects a deep commitment to supporting all learners on their path to future readiness.
Leslee Herre
Career and Technical Education Specialist

Leslee Herre began her Career and Technical Education (CTE) journey at Chaparral High School, where she taught in the Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) department starting in 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Now serving as the CTE Specialist in Postsecondary Readiness (PSR), Leslee is committed to empowering students to explore their passions and create purposeful plans for life beyond high school. As a parent of two amazing children in the district, Leslee is deeply invested in the success of Douglas County School District and is committed to ensuring it remains a place where all students can learn and grow.

With over 40 years of experience in Career and Technical Education, Kathy has served as a Marketing Education teacher, DECA advisor, and State Director of Arizona DECA. Since 2019, she has worked as the Work-Based Learning Program Specialist, supporting meaningful career experiences for students across the state. She holds a Master’s Degree in CTE Administration and Guidance Counseling. Outside of work, she enjoys life as a wife, mother of two, and proud grandmother of one.

Kathleen Fields is a dedicated Accounting Specialist and Administrative Assistant with over 20 years of experience with Douglas County School District. Known for her attention to detail, organizational expertise, and unwavering commitment to supporting both financial operations and administrative functions, Kathleen plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning within the Postsecondary Readiness department. Her long-standing tenure reflects a deep passion for public education and a consistent drive to serve her team and community with excellence.
Evelyn Peterson
ASCENT, TREP, & P-TECH Specialist

Evelyn Peterson serves as the Program Specialist for ASCENT, TREP, and P-TECH—DCSD’s 5th and 6th year programs. With over a decade of experience in higher education and a background in school counseling at both the middle and high school levels, Evelyn brings deep expertise and care to her role. Her own journey—from self-funding community college to earning her bachelor’s degree while serving on active duty in the U.S. Air Force in Europe, and eventually completing a Master’s in School Counseling—fuels her passion for helping students navigate nontraditional paths. A Licensed Professional Counselor and proud DCSD parent of two teenagers, Evelyn is dedicated to ensuring students don’t just graduate—but graduate ready. She’s honored to help make higher education accessible, affordable, and attainable for all.
Matt Chambless
Concurrent Enrollment Specialist

Matt Chambless brings over a decade of experience as a CE/CTE business and marketing instructor prior to becoming the CE specialist for DCSD. Matt started in the PSR department in the fall of 2019. Matt holds multiple master’s degrees, reflecting his dedication to lifelong learning and professional growth. Outside of work, he is a proud parent of three DCSD students.
